Restoration of Victorian Coach House
Completed July 2006

The building is a former stable and coach house, which had undergone a basic conversion to a dwelling in the 1960s. The form of this had however left the house with an enclosed and gloomy atmosphere.

The client wished to convert and restore the property to use as a 5-star holiday let, in a manner which would also be suitable as a family home. We stripped out many parts of the previous conversion, to open up the ground floor, and to create a light and spacious feel to the property.

We replaced existing timber infill panels with large glazed screens and doors, which allow in light and take advantage of the outlook on to the secluded south facing courtyard.
